Making this was very easy and fun! though it would have been even better if i had realized that I had dough hooks before making it! :p The pizza turned out amazing! I would also recommend before cooking adding some salt and powdered garlic to the crust, it makes it that much better!
What you will need. |
Add yeast to the water and let sit for 5 mins.. This is what it should look like. |
Then add the salt. |
Mix in flour.. I used a wooden spoon because i didn't know that i had dough hooks -_- But if you have them this is where they come in! :) |
After you have added all of the flour leave dough in bowl and let rise till it's doubled in size.. That should take around 1 hour. |
How to make pizza crust
Ingredients
- 3 cups of flour
- 2 Tablespoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 cup lukewarm water
Instructions
- Add the warm water and the yeast to the bowl. Stir gently and let the yeast mixture stand for about 5 minutes.
- After 5 minutes, the yeast mixture will look like this.
- Add the olive oil.
- Add the salt and the flour.
- Let the mixer knead slowly until the dough comes together.
- I usually let the machine go for about 5 minutes.
- Take it out of the machine.
- Cover the bowl with a towel in a warm place and let it rise until doubled. About an hour or so.
- Turn it out and knead it into the shape of a ball.
- Cover the dough with the same towel or plastic wrap and let it sit for 20-30 minutes. After that, you can roll it out and get it ready to top and bake.
*I also make a few batches of this dough and freeze it. I take it out in the morning when I want to make it for dinner and let it thaw on the counter or put it in the fridge the night before. Make sure that it comes to room temperature before you roll it out.*
That's how it rolls |

Stopping by from the CAPS Team. We have made it in the past. Our Trader Joe now has it in the refrigerated section and we get lazy. Making it ahead when so motivated is a good idea.
