Strawberry Sorbet Recipe

Strawberry Sorbet Recipe-

I Loved making this!! It came out so good and perfectly silky! I'm a big fan of Sorbet but for some reason i haven't been able to get if just right with other recipes.. It comes out good but not how i would like.. But his recipe is soooo simple and goooood!!!  and a lot of fun to make. ;)

What  you need

Hull the Strawberrys

Place in Blender and add water.

Puree till it's smooth!

Strain it to get all of the seeds out.. If you don't mind the seeds you can skip this step.. Personally i think it's worth the process.

Add the remaining ingredients (Sugar, Lime, salt) Stir till sugar has resolved.  Then let it sit in the fridge till it's chilled.

After refrigerating it place in your ice cream maker and let it run for about 30 mins or longer depending on how you like it! :)

And you done!! You can either serve it right away or place in an air tight container and freeze to save for later! ;)

Strawberry Sorbet
adapted from Group Recipes
1 lb. ripe organic strawberries, hulled
1/2 cup cold water
1/2 cup sugar (more to taste)
1 tbsp lime or lemon juice
1 tbsp vodka - optional
a pinch of salt
Purée the strawberries and cold water in a blender until smooth. Strain the purée through a fine mesh sieve if you want a smooth sorbet. If you want the seeds in the sorbet, then skip the straining. Stir in the remaining ingredients until the sugar is dissolved. Refrigerate the strawberry purée until it is cold. Pour the contents into your ice cream maker and churn for 30 minutes per the instructions on your machine. Freeze. Makes just under a quart.
